King Abdulaziz University hosted the Western and Southern Regions Archery Championship from December 25 to 27, 2025, with the participation of over 80 male and female archers representing various clubs from both regions.

The university’s hosting of the championship underscores its active role in supporting national sports federations and contributing to the implementation of strategic plans aimed at raising the level of competitiveness among clubs. The university offers fully equipped sports facilities and a professional environment well-suited for hosting championships and promoting physical activity.

The competition featured 27 categories, 16 for men and 11 for women, and witnessed strong performances across the board. At the closing ceremony, 27 gold, 23 silver, and 9 bronze medals were awarded to the top performers.
Abdullah Alnowaiser, Executive Director of the Saudi Archery Federation, described the championship as a key event in the national tournament calendar. He commended the high technical standards, discipline, and competitive spirit displayed by the athletes.
